New release of Actenum MPS provides scenario-based maintenance scheduling

Vancouver BC, 21-Feb-07

Actenum Corporation. today announced the upcoming release of MPS 2.0, a major upgrade of its Maintenance and Production Scheduler tool.

Actenum MPS improves production operations by automating the preventive maintenance scheduling process, and enabling maintenance and production staff to collaborate when scheduling maintenance activities. By linking scheduling decisions to key production information, MPS provides maximum asset uptime, as well as longer production runs and lower operating risk than can be obtained using traditional, manual scheduling.

New features in MPS 2.0 include schedule comparisons, to allow multiple scenario-based schedules to be created and compared, and schedule blackouts, where no maintenance activities should be scheduled. MPS 2.0 will also provide enhanced reporting, and extensions to its open architecture to enable seamless integration with other major maintenance and production applications.

“The new capabilities we’re building into Actenum MPS 2.0 will increase its value to maintenance and operations managers, with enhanced scenario planning and ‘what-if?’ analysis.” said Actenum’s CEO, Paul Maurer. “And extending the product’s open architecture will simplify integration into existing IT environments.”
