Actenum announces the renaming of maintenance scheduling solution

Actenum Corporation announces today that it is renaming its Actenum Maintenance and Production Scheduler (MPS) product to DSO/Maintenance. The name change will take effect with the upcoming production release of Version 3.0 of the product.

The change of name is a result of significant engineering efforts over the past year, and reflects the expanded capabilities of the latest product version. DSO/Maintenance is a complete and comprehensive solution for scheduling maintenance activities in complex production environments, and it addresses a broad range of organizational requirements.

Data management and reporting features are now fully integrated into DSO/Maintenance, together with a new user interface and a rich set of user-configurable options that address organizational and personal preferences. DSO/Maintenance also provides enhanced management and decision-support functions that increase the efficiency of maintenance organizations.

Production release of DSO/Maintenance Version 3.0 will be in July 2011.

“The new DSO/Maintenance name reflects the work we've done to migrate all of our solutions to the Decision Support and Optimization programming framework that has been under development since 2009,” said Actenum's CEO, Paul Maurer. “Version 3 of DSO/Maintenance incorporates major enhancements that simplify the maintenance scheduling process, while delivering maximum equipment uptime and production performance.”
